How bank exams are structured
- Prelims — objective screening: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English, each with a sectional time limit.
- Mains — deeper reasoning + computer aptitude, quant, English, and General/Banking & Financial Awareness, plus a descriptive paper for PO.
- Interview — for PO roles after clearing Mains.
The sections that decide selection
Prelims is a pure speed test — every second counts against the sectional timer. Mains is where Banking & Financial Awareness and computer aptitude separate the selected from the rest. Practise both:
