Job security, structured pay scales, pensions and social respect keep millions of aspirants preparing every year. The competition is fierce, but the syllabi are fixed and public — which means disciplined, mock-driven preparation genuinely moves the needle.
The biggest 2026 exams at a glance
- UPSC Civil Services — the toughest: Prelims (objective) → Mains (descriptive) → Interview. For IAS, IPS, IFS and more. Practise the UPSC CSE Prelims mock.
- SSC CGL — graduate-level posts across ministries. Tiered, objective, high volume. Start with the SSC CGL Tier 1 mock.

How to choose the right exam
- Match eligibility: 10th/12th-pass exams (RRB Group D, SSC MTS, NDA) open doors without a degree; graduate exams (SSC CGL, IBPS PO, UPSC) need one.
- Match your strengths: quant-heavy (banking, SSC) vs. GK/current-affairs-heavy (UPSC, state PSCs).
- Apply widely: the syllabi overlap a lot — reasoning, quant, English and GA recur — so one preparation base can target several exams at once.
