The GMAT, from GMAC, is a business-school admissions test; the current form is the GMAT Focus Edition, which replaced the classic GMAT in 2024. It has three sections — Quantitative Reasoning (21 questions), Verbal Reasoning (23) and Data Insights (20), 45 minutes each — for 64 questions in about 2 hours 15 minutes, computer-adaptive and takeable in any order. Each section is scored 60–90, all three contribute equally to a total of 205–805, and scores are valid 5 years.
