System design
Design is moderate in scope. Low-level / object-oriented design (a parking lot, an elevator, a rate limiter — class modelling and SOLID) appears more often than heavyweight distributed design for many teams. Experienced candidates may get a system-design prompt (URL shortener, chat service, autocomplete, video streaming) that goes deeper into bottlenecks and trade-offs.
Behavioural round
The behavioural round is collaborative, not adversarial. Expect "why Cisco?", a project deep-dive, a hard technical decision, a conflict you resolved, and ownership examples. STAR structure works well; Cisco values teamwork and a genuine interest in networking / infrastructure.
