System design

Design is moderate in scope. Low-level / object-oriented design (a parking lot, an elevator, a rate limiter — class modelling and SOLID) is the common form for most teams, often folded into the project deep-dive as "at least one architecture question". Experienced candidates may get a fuller system-design prompt (a URL shortener, a chat service, a cache) exploring bottlenecks and trade-offs.
